Hariku 1.0.0-RC.1 Has Arrived: Feature-Frozen and Ready for Final Evaluation
Posted by AraPearl š¦ on June 30, 2025
Dear Hariku Users,
Weāre pleased to announce the release of Hariku 1.0.0-RC.1, marking a significant milestone in the projectās development journey.
This Release Candidate represents the end of the feature development phase and the beginning of final polishing and stability assurance. RC.1 focuses on reliability, user experience, and platform consistency; bringing Hariku closer than ever to its production-ready state.
Although no major changes were expected at this stage, a few safe, self-contained improvements were introduced based on user feedback:
SmartLookup: A new action for quickly performing context-aware searches using clipboard content or variables, ideal for definitions, IP lookups, and more.
Send Notification to Phone: Enables routines to push messages to your mobile device using the ntfy service. Simply install the ntfy app from Playstore or Appstore, and update the server URL in the app settings to https://notify.techlabs.lol for compatibility.
A new startup check to prevent multiple instances of Hariku from running simultaneously. (Still Buggy)
This release also includes general performance improvements, UI polish, accessibility refinements, and bug fixes, all aimed at ensuring Hariku runs smoothly and reliably across environments.
From this point forward, development will focus solely on optimization, refinement, and addressing any remaining issues reported by users.
Thank you for testing, contributing, and helping shape Hariku into the smart automation tool itās becoming. We look forward to your feedback on RC.1.
RC.1 Release Slightly Delayed
Posted by Administrator on June 29, 2025
We would like to inform you that the release of Hariku version 1.0.0-RC.1, originally planned for June 27, will be slightly delayed.
Most of the feature development and testing have been completed, but the final packaging and deployment process depends on a secured internal environment accessible to only one developer.
Due to a temporary technical limitation, this process has been slowed down. While other contributors are able to compile and validate the build in isolated environments, they cannot perform core release operations.
We are actively working to resolve this and expect RC.1 to be available no later than June 30, 2025.
All previously announced features will still be included in this release, and unless any critical issues arise, the final version (1.0.0) remains on track for release on July 1.
We appreciate your understanding and continued support as we ensure the best possible experience.

Prepares for Release Candidate Status for Hariku
Posted by Raf ā¾ on June 26, 2025
After iterative development and feature exploration throughout the beta cycle, Hariku is now preparing to enter a major milestone in its release journey: Release Candidate 1 (RC.1).
Version 1.0.0-RC.1 is scheduled to be released around June 27, 2025. This marks the transition from feature development to final polishing and stability assurance.
RC.1 introduces several important refinements and two new lightweight, self-contained actions:
Send Notification to Phone: Allows routines to push a message directly to your phone using the ntfy service. No login or server-side setup is required.
Simply install the ntfy app from the Play Store or App Store, create and subscribe to a topic of your choice from within the app, and you're ready to receive notifications.
To ensure compatibility with Hariku, you must change the default ntfy server URL in the appās settings to:
https://notify.techlabs.lol
This step is required for the notification action to work properly with Harikuās integration.
SmartLookup: Enables context-aware lookups based on clipboard or routine variables. Ideal for quick references, definitions, and IP Address Lookup without manual interaction.
These additions are stable, non-breaking, and have been carefully tested to ensure they do not interfere with existing core features.
Looking Ahead to Hariku 1.0.0: If no critical bugs are reported in RC.1, the final version, Hariku 1.0.0, is planned for release on July 1, 2025.
This will mark Hariku's official transition from experimental beta software to a stable, production-ready automation platform for everyday use.
New: Daily Update Reminder System
Starting from RC.1, Hariku includes a built-in update reminder system, which checks for new versions once per day and displays a simple notification if an update is available. The reminder is designed to be non-intrusive and shown only once per day to avoid distractions.
Thank you for being part of the journey.
We look forward to sharing RC.1 with you and hearing how you put it to work in your routines and workflows.
See you on June 27.
Hariku 1.0.0-Beta.8: Smarter. Stronger. Sharper
Posted by AraPearlš¦ on June 25, 2025
Hello again,
Just when you thought Routines couldnāt get more powerful, here we are with Hariku version 1.0.0-Beta.8, bringing a wave of intelligent upgrades that make your automation journey even smoother and more capable.
This update is all about refinement, flexibility, and power. Weāve introduced new triggers, new actions, and smart logic, allowing your routines to respond more precisely to your digital environment. From global hotkeys and clipboard monitoring, to advanced scheduling and window control, Beta.8 turns your vision of automation into something you can actually live with, every day.
What's New?
One of the biggest additions is Global Hotkey Triggers; now you can run any routine just by pressing a key combination (like Ctrl+Shift+P), system-wide. This essentially gives you custom shortcuts for anything: launching apps, typing phrases, controlling volume, setting work modesāanything routines can do, now at your fingertips.
We also introduced a Run Every condition, enabling recurring routines on a set interval (every X minutes or hours), optionally within a specific time window. Perfect for timed reminders, health breaks, or automated system maintenance.
And for clipboard power users: Clipboard Monitoring lets your routines respond to content copied to the clipboard. like automatically opening copied URLs or searching selected text, Combine it with placeholders like {{clipboard}} to make routines dynamically reactive.
New Actions = New Possibilities
Routines just got even more hands-on. Beta.8 introduces powerful new actions:
Control Window: Minimize, maximize, or close windows programmatically.
Type Text Automatically: Simulates keyboard typing, useful for inserting canned responses or filling forms.
Modify Variable & Set Variable: These open the door to memory and logic. Routines can now remember things, count, and adapt based on previous actions.
Enable/Disable Another Routine: Think of this as switching modes. One routine can now activate or deactivate another, useful for toggling between Work Mode and Chill Mode.
Send Keystrokes to Specific Window: A truly advanced feature. Your routine can now find a specific app and send it keystrokes, perfect for muting Your TeamTalk when it's not focused, for example.
Close Application: Kill background distractions with a single action. (Thanks to Claudya F. for the idea!)
Better Logic. Better Reactions.
With AND/OR logic for conditions, your routines now think more like you. Choose whether all conditions must be met (AND) or just one (OR). This simple change makes your automations much more expressive and powerful.
Also new: placeholder support in more actions! Use {{clipboard}} or {{variable:yourVariableName}} to dynamically reference clipboard content or custom variables in routines like Speak Text, Open URL, and more.
Deep System Awareness
Weāve leveled up Harikuās sensitivity to whatās happening on your PC:
Application detection now includes checks like has focus or does not have focus.
System usage monitoring (CPU and RAM) now supports thresholds over time, e.g., only act if CPU > 80% for 30 seconds.
Day of the Week condition has evolved into a flexible multi-day scheduler with time ranges.
"Open Application/Command" is more reliable with paths that contain spaces or command-line arguments.
Weāve also re-architected the routine check engine, improving its speed, efficiency, and responsiveness. Routines now run leaner and faster, without missing a beat.
Read the Docs, Get Inspired
This release comes with a significantly updated README covering all the new features in detail. If youāve ever been curious about how to use variables, placeholders, or system keystroke automation, this is your manual.
For example, youāll learn how to:
Create a "Smart Paste" hotkey that behaves differently depending on which app is in focus.
Build a "Work Mode" switch that changes power plans, closes distractions, and speaks a focus message.
Set up a Pomodoro timer that tracks your work cycles and gives spoken feedback.
These examples are more than tricks; theyāre real-world routines built using the powerful new features introduced in Beta.8.
If you're curious to learn how they work, how to build your own, or want a deeper understanding of actions like Send Keystrokes, Modify Variable, or conditions like Monitor Clipboard and Global Keypress, weāve documented everything in detail.
You can find the full documentation and examples in the updated README, available on the Hariku website:
https://www.techlabs.lol/hariku/
With this update, Hariku becomes not just a planning tool, but a personal automation platform, one that works how you think, adapts to how you work, and listens to how you live. Whether you're running routines on timers, reacting to clipboard content, or toggling app behavior with a keypress, Hariku gives you the tools to create a digital life that feels more responsive, more human, and just a bit more magical.
Weād love to know how you use these new features. Have you built something clever with our new routines? Do you have ideas for new actions or triggers? Let us know via the feedback form!
Until next time,
Stay creative. Stay curious. And automate with care.
Hariku 1.0.0-Beta.7: From Dream to Routine
Posted by AraPearl š¦ on June 22, 2025
Hello Everyone,
This is it! the moment weāve been building up to for weeks.
Hariku version 1.0.0-Beta.7 finally introduces Routines, the long-promised feature weāve been talking about since Beta.1. Itās been teased, requested, wildly imagined; and now, itās real.
Routines is more than just another feature. Itās a step into something bigger: letting Hariku not only help you plan your day, but also act for you.
What are Routines?
Think of them as smart rules that let Hariku act on your behalf. Inspired by Android's Routines and iOS Shortcuts, this feature allows you to automate actions based on specific conditions, saving time, reducing repetition, and adding a little magic to your everyday tasks.
Hereās a quick overview of what you can do:
Trigger actions based on time, battery level, charging status, WiFi network, running apps, and more.
Perform tasks like speaking custom text, showing notifications, opening websites or apps, locking your screen, playing sounds, and even adjusting system volume.
Combine multiple conditions and actions to create powerful, custom workflows that run automatically; no coding required.
You can even add delays between actions to control the flow of your routines more precisely.
This is just the beginning. Weāre already planning to expand this feature further with more conditions, smarter controls, and additional system-level integrations.
It may look like a small update, but trust us; it opens a whole new world of possibilities.
Want the full breakdown? Weāve written a detailed, 3500+ character README that covers all the new options. You can read it on our website:
https://www.techlabs.lol/hariku
Weād love to hear how you use Routines in your day. Got ideas, feedback, or wild automation dreams? Let us know through the feedback form!
Thank you again for being part of Harikuās thoughtful little world.
Stay inspired; and automate gently. āØ
Hariku 1.0.0-Beta.6: More Moods, More Reminders, More You
Posted by AraPearl š¦ on June 20, 2025
Hello Everyone,
Weāre excited to announce the release of Hariku version 1.0.0-Beta.6, a thoughtful update focused on helping you plan ahead more effectively and express yourself more personally.
This version introduces several meaningful features and improvements based on community ideas and suggestions. Hereās whatās new:
Advance Task Reminders
Some things are easy to forget, right? but now, Hariku has your back. This update adds the ability to receive gentle reminders before a taskās due date, giving you more time to prepare and less chance of last-minute stress. Thanks to ClaudyaF for the inspiration!
Smarter Repetitive Tasks
You asked, we listened. In addition to weekly repetition, you can now set tasks to repeat monthly or yearly, offering greater flexibility for long-term planning.
Mood Selection in Notes
Sometimes, how you feel is just as important as what you write. Now, when editing a note, you can choose a mood that reflects your emotional tone. This lovely idea came from AraPearl and ClaudyaF.
Smoother Time Selection
The time sliders you use when setting tasks have been improved for better precision and a more responsive feel, especially for those who use screenreader as their daily driver.
Expanded Country Support
We're happy to welcome the Philippines to our list of supported regions. The system now works seamlessly in this country; and yes, we were surprised too!
As part of this milestone, weāre currently looking for passionate individuals from the Filipino community to help us fill and enrich our calendar database; just like weāve done with the Indonesian calendar.
Weāre especially looking for people who:
Are familiar with Windows
Know how to write clearly and meaningfully
Are willing to learn our large and growing system
And most importantly, have the patience and heart to input data thoughtfully, one entry at a time.
If this sounds like you, or someone you know, weād love to hear your story and invite your contribution into Hariku. Together, we can make this app even more alive, inclusive, and meaningful.
To submit your interest, please send us a message through the feedback system using the following format:
Title: your_name, Want_to_Help
Example: rafli, Want_to_Help
Message:
- Your reason for wanting to help
- How you're willing to contribute
- Your contact information (email or other)
We canāt wait to build something beautiful together with you.
This update continues our commitment to building a gentle, thoughtful calendar experience, one that not only helps you stay organized but also understands your pace and personality.
As always, thank you for being a part of Hariku.
Your ideas shape the future of this app, and weāre so grateful for your ongoing support.

The Heart Behind Hariku
Posted by raf ā¾ on June 10, 2025
Dear Hariku users,
right now's message is not about new features or technical progress. Itās about acknowledging someone whose presence has been absolutely essential to Hariku; someone who has poured in time, thought, creativity, and quiet strength behind the scenes: AraPearl.
While many know Hariku as a calendar application built by a developer, the truth is, Hariku would not exist in the first place without AraPearl.
Long before a single line of code was written, it was AraPearl who first envisioned the idea of a calendar app, not just any app, but one filled with intention and care. Her thoughts laid the foundation for what would later become this personal space for reflection, planning, and emotional connection.
Throughout every phase of development, she has been there, not in the spotlight, but at the core: guiding brainstorming sessions, offering deeply thoughtful suggestions, helping shape language and clarity through translation, and perhaps most importantly, providing unwavering emotional support when progress was slow, uncertain, or overwhelming.
She doesn't ask for credit, but this project owes her more than just acknowledgment. It owes her its very existence.
Hariku is more than a digital tool. It carries a certain warmth, a soft precision, and a touch of sincerity that reflects her heart and her presence in every detail. Much like a butterflyās gentle wings that cause quiet transformation, AraPearlās impact has been subtle, graceful, but immensely powerful.
Her ability to bring calmness in chaos, to question ideas with kindness, and to hold the vision of this project when I was unsure; those things cannot be measured in code or design. They are the invisible architecture of Hariku.
Without her vision, without her passion, and without her deep emotional investment in this project, we would not be here. I would not be writing this. You would not be reading this.
So today, I want to say this as clearly and sincerely as possible:
Thank you, AraPearl.
Thank you for believing in this.
Thank you for building this with me in the ways that matter most.
Thank you for caring.
Hariku is as much yours as it is mine.

Team Update and Welcoming a New Developer During the Transition Period
Posted by AraPearl š¦ on June 10, 2025
Dear Hariku users,
We would like to share an important update regarding the development of Hariku.
As of now, Hariku is no longer developed by a single individual. In addition to myself, RAF, Alfian has officially joined the project as the second developer. His presence is expected to bring new perspectives and ideas to the appās future development.
During my current break from active coding, Alfian will take the lead in continuing development efforts, whether through maintenance work, feature experimentation, or general improvements. All development decisions during this period will be entirely at his discretion.
There may be new updates. There may not. That choice is his to make.
I personally expect that he will share his own message in the next post, so users can better understand the direction of Hariku during this transitional phase.
Thank you once again for your continued support. Your feedback and patience are highly appreciated and essential to the growth of this project.
Sincerely,
(Raf, Developer of Hariku)
Developer Update; Preparing for Beta.6 and a Temporary Development Pause
Posted by AraPearl š¦ on June 9, 2025
Dear Users,
Thank you for continuing to support Hariku. This message is to inform you about an upcoming development shift and provide important updates regarding the appās progress and known issues.
As the sole developer, Rafli will be taking a short break from coding to focus on gathering new inspiration and exploring ideas that will help Hariku grow further. This pause will allow him to reflect on how the app can evolve; not just as a calendar, but as a personal companion that helps users improve their self-care, stay organized, and feel more connected to their daily lives.
Currently, Hariku offers features such as notes, task reminders, inspirational quotes, and other tools that go beyond what traditional calendars provide. However, we are preparing a new update; version 1.0.0-Beta.6, which will introduce several meaningful improvements:
A more advanced reminder system that can notify you several days in advance of important dates.
A mood tracker, enabling you to log and reflect on your emotional well-being over time.
Additional enhancements and experimental features designed to enrich your experience.
We continue to value your feedback. If you have suggestions or comments, please use the built-in feedback feature by pressing the "B" key in the app. All input is carefully recorded, stored, and reviewed to guide future improvements.
Known Issue: Updater Errors
We are aware of ongoing issues with the built-in updater failing to perform correctly. Resolving this is an active priority, and development is underway to make the updater more reliable. In the meantime, we strongly advise the following:
Back up your personal data, including the data folder and config.ini file, before installing any new updates.
During installation, these files may be overwritten or erased. Manual backups are currently the only way to prevent data loss.
Important Notice for Beta.5 Users
If you are currently using version 1.0.0-Beta.5, please be aware that attempting to update through the app will not result in any changes or new features. It will simply reinstall the same version and, in the process, erase your existing data.
As such, we do not recommend updating if you are already using Beta.5, unless the development team has officially announced the release of Beta.6. Please wait for confirmation via the in-app news panel before proceeding with any update.
Thank you once again for being part of Hariku. Your continued feedback and support are deeply appreciated. This brief development pause is a step toward delivering a more meaningful and refined experience in the near future.
Sincerely,
(Raf, The developer of Hariku)
Update Highlights ā Version 1.0.0-Beta.5
Posted by AraPearl š¦ on June 7, 2025
Hello Everyone,
Weāre happy to announce the release of version 1.0.0-Beta.5 ā an update designed to make your experience smoother, more secure, and more enjoyable.
This release includes several new features inspired by your feedback and suggestions, aiming to help you organize your days better and protect your personal data.
Here are some highlights from this update:
1. Enhanced Diary Privacy with Password Encryption
Your diary entries are important and personal. Starting with this update, you can now activate password encryption for your diary. This feature is optional and can be turned on or off anytime from the new Settings window. When enabled, your entries will be securely encrypted to keep your thoughts safe from prying eyes.
2. Daily Quotes to Inspire You
To add a little motivation to your day, weāve introduced a daily quotes feature. Every time you open Hariku or press the 'Y key, youāll be greeted with a fresh, thoughtful quote. This idea came from one of our valued users, Claudya F, and weāre excited to share it with you.
3. Convenient Date Range Calculator
Need to find out how many days are between two dates? Itās now easier than ever. Just press āMā on the first date, then press āMā again on the second date, and Hariku will calculate the difference for you. This handy tool helps you plan ahead with confidence.
Additionally, this version includes a full help window accessible via Shift + H, listing all keyboard shortcuts with explanations to help you navigate Hariku more efficiently. The new Settings window (press S) lets you customize your experience, while a fresh key shortcut 'V' allows you to get the latest news from the development team.
Weāve also improved how multiple historical entries on the same date are displayed; if thereās more than one, Hariku will now prompt you to choose which one to read.
We continue to refine the app by removing outdated shortcuts and fixing bugs, including an issue where multiple events didnāt show up properly in the info panel.
Thank you for being part of the Hariku. Your ideas and support help us grow and improve every day. Keep sharing your thoughts, and stay tuned for more updates!
Hariku Beta 1.0.0-Beta.4 ā More Personal, More Practical
Posted by AraPearl š¦ on June 5, 2025
Hi there!
In this Beta.4 update, Hariku becomes even more alive and personal. Weāve introduced new shortcuts to help you navigate and interact more smoothly.
You can now adjust the volume directly using F5 and F6, or personalize your experience by setting your username with Shift+Z.
New keybindings let you add and manage tasks (A / Shift+A), and also write and view diary entries (n / Shift+N).
The diary feature was carefully designed and built by AraPearl (me) to feel like a real book. It features a tree view with year, month, and day, creating a nostalgic and pleasant journaling experience.
Youāll also hear unique sound effects, like the sound of turning pages when expanding or collapsing entries, and Writing sounds to enhance immersion.
Notes are stored locally and encrypted safely on your device. When writing, pressing Enter will add your entry; complete with the exact hour, minute, and second it was written.
Weāve also made the app more emotionally engaging: when you add tasks, Hariku may remind you at random moments using over 100 messages. Including sweet, warm, and motivational tones, making the experience more human and encouraging.
Navigation sounds are now more varied too, making every interaction feel more responsive.
Lastly, weāve fixed the "Submit Feedback" button that went silent in the last version, and polished up the Indonesian translations for a better overall experience.
This might be a small update, but it brings a lot of heart. Try it out and feel the difference!
Hariku ā Beta Version 1.0.0-Beta.3 Update unselected
Posted by AraPearl š¦ on June 4, 2025
Hi again!
This is a small but meaningful update ā Hariku now shows the time based on the selected country's timezone! Cheers!
Weāve added a couple more countries, and fixed the updater so it can properly detect the update size (no more guessing!).
A light update, but one that makes the experience smoother. More improvements coming soon!
Hariku ā Beta Version 1.0.0-Beta.2 Update
Posted by AraPearl š¦ on June 3, 2025
Hi there!
Weāre back with another beta update for Hariku! Weāve added some cool new features and fixed a few hiccups from the previous release. Letās see whatās new:
Now you can check out historical events for specific dates, just press I to unlock some time travel moments!
